Head Coach - Isaac Shelby
Coach Shelby, a CHS graduate in 2001, began his career at his Alma-mater coaching Wide Receivers for two years at CHS from 2004 to 2005. After that, he spent one season as the Wide Receivers Coach/Co-Special Teams Coordinator. In 2007, he became offensive coordinator helping win the last Region Championship at Clarksville High. He then transitioned to Northeast High School and spent two years as the offensive coordinator, assistant Head Coach, and Coordinator of College Recruiting. Following that he served as the Head Coach at Northeast for four years; making trips to the second round of the playoffs once, the quarterfinals twice and the final four once. Since that time he has returned to CHS and just completed his third season. Coach Shelby teaches Weightlifting and Interdisciplinary Studies.
Assistant Coach - Taylor Stanley
Taylor Stanley graduated from Clarksville High School in 2007 and is a former member of the Wildcat football team. While at Clarksville High, Stanley was awarded All Area and All Region honors in 2005 and 2006. After CHS, he continued his football career at the University of Tennessee Martin from 2007-2011. While at UTM, Stanley was a 3 year letter-winner, and an Academic All American. Stanley graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, and in 2014, received his Master’s degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University. Stanley joined the Clarksville High School faculty in 2014 and is a third year member of the coaching staff. Coach Stanley currently serves at the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers coach at CHS. Coach Stanley also played for Coach Shelby during his HS career. Coach Stanley teaches in the Business Academy at CHS.
Assistant Coach - Isaac Ziolkowski
Isaac Ziolkowski graduated from Clarksville High School in 2007 and is a former member of the Wildcat football team. While at Clarksville High, Ziolkowski was awarded TSWA All State honors in 2006 and earned a scholarship to handle kicking duties for the Austin Peay Governors where he was also a two-time scholar athlete award winner. Currently, he holds the record at Austin Peay for the best career field goal percentage in the program’s history. Ziolkowski joined the Clarksville High School faculty in 2011 and is a second year member of the coaching staff. Coach Ziolkowski serves Special Teams Coordinator for the Wildcats as well as the Kickers and Punters Coach and tight ends at CHS.
Assistant Coach - Brad Williams
Coach Williams was a 4 year starter for the Wildcats and a 4 years starter for the Govs at Austin Peay State University. He was named All- District and All-Region multiple times for the Wildcats. At APSU, he played Tight End and Offensive Line and was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor roll six times, the Dean’s List three times and the President’s List one time. He was also an ESPN the magazine Academic All-American candidate. Coach Williams is a small business owner in Clarksville. He owns a Lawn Doctor franchise and a Maid-Pro franchise.
Assistant Coach - Ken Freeman
Ken Freeman, a California native, came to Clarksville courtesy of the U.S. Army. He played his collegiate football for the Merced College Blue Devils in California as a wide receiver/defensive back and kick returner. After graduating from Merced, Coach Freeman enlisted in the U.S. Army where he spent 8 years supporting various operations, including Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. After ending his military service in 2005, Coach Freeman then earned his B.S. in History with minors in Geography and Professional Education from Austin Peay State University. He has also earned a Master of Educational Technology degree from Boise State University. Coach Freeman began his coaching career with Coach Shelby at Northeast High School in 2008 as an assistant coach. Coach Freeman joined the Clarksville High School coaching staff during the 2015 season and is currently coaching defensive backs. Coach Freeman teaches US History.
Assistant Coach - Rob Gallowitz
Rob Gallowitz is a Clarksville native, graduating from Northeast High in 2008. While at Northeast High, he played defensive end and tight end for the Eagles. After high school, he attended Austin Peay State University, where he majored in English with a minor in Education. Rob graduated and began his teaching/coaching career at West Creek High in 2012. He spent 3 years at WCHS before joining Clarksville High’s coaching staff and is currently in his 2nd year at Clarksville High. Coach Gallowitz currently serves as the Defensive Line Coach, Director of College Recruiting and Football Camps coordinator. Coach Gallowitz teaches Senior English.
Assistant Coach - Jay Bailey
Jay Bailey graduated from Clarksville High School in 1998 having lettered in football, basketball, and track. During his high school career he was awarded many all-area and all-regional honors. After high school, Jay went on to play one season of junior college basketball at Volunteer State, after which Jay returned home to Clarksville and Austin Peay State University to play football from 2000 to 2002. He was inducted into the Austin Peay State University Hall of Fame in 2011. Jay joined the Clarksville high football coaching staff in 2006; he also began coaching basketball two years later. Jay serves as assistant strength and conditioning coach as well as the runningbacks coach. When not at CHS he is the Wellness Director at the Clarksville Area YMCA as well as a Personal Trainer
